Mary A. Martin, age 86 of Hesperia, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Mary was born on June 27, 1932 in Dearborn, Michigan to Pasquale and Antoinette (Amato) Delia. Mary had been a school teacher in Grand Rapids for several years and later retired from Midwest Components. Mary has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area where she enjoyed knitting, flower gardening, playing bingo, caring for her indoor houseplants, attending yard sales, cooking and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren, Mary had been a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia. Mary is survived by her children, Jim Martin of Hesperia; Charlie (Sue) Martin of Fremont; Patty (Scott) Cruickshank of Hesperia; Tim (Jen) Martin of Coopersville; Donald Martin of Hesperia; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; her brother, Don (Gloria) Delia of Newaygo; her sister, Rose (Bob) White of Holton; her sister-in-law, Nancy Delia; many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathleen Martin; her brothers, John A. Delia; Mike Delia; James Delia and Frank Delia.
