Mary K. Meulenberg, age 101, of Newaygo passed away on Friday, January 23, 2015, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Mary was born on December 3, 1913, in New Haven, Connecticut to Anthony and Catharine (Bielawski) Kline and married Cornelius Meulenberg in 1931. Mary was a seamstress and tailor in the area for most of her life and was a member of the Jehovahs Witnesses. Mary is survived by her children, William Meulenberg of Kentwood, Kathryn (Don) Bennett of White Cloud, Mary Lou Steele of California, Norine (Dean) Kasten of Zeeland, John (Stephanie) Meulenberg of Grand Rapids and Jennifer Lee (John) Gutowski of Caledonia; 17 grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; 1 great great great grandchild; sister, Bernice Dodge of Hudsonville; and several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius in 1990; son, Michael John Meulenberg; brothers and sisters, Anne, Elizabeth, Frank, and William; and daughter-in-law Judy Meulenberg. A Celebration of Life for Mary will be announced at a later time. Interment will be in Floral View Memorial Gardens Garden of Brotherhood in Grandville.
