Mary Catherine (Mills) Smith, age 97 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Mary was born on November 8, 1914 in Indiana to Henry and Pearl (Frickle) Fell and later married Harry F. Smith on May 13, 1960 in Hesperia. Harry preceded her in death on July 24, 1998. Mary has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where she had been a homemaker and enjoyed many types of animals, especially dogs and enjoyed activities at the Newaygo County Commission on Aging in White Cloud. Mary had attended the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Brohman. Mary is survived by her children, Don (Juanita) Mills of Sterling, Oklahoma; Paul Mills of Henrysville, Indiana; Shirley (Ron) Mullins of White Cloud; Bill Mills of White Cloud; Ray Mills of Altus, Oklahoma; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; her daughters-in-laws, Diane Mills of Baldwin; Judy Mills of White Cloud; Sherry Phillips of Hesperia; Jenny Mills. Mary was preceded in death by her sons and daughters, Dick Mills, Bob Mills, Wayne Mills, Gladys Mills and half sister, Barbara Looyengoed. VISITATION : Wednesday, January 4, 2012 from 12-2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Lucky Fulton of the Amazing Grace Acres Church presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Newaygo County Commission on Aging in White Cloud in memory of Mary.
