Mary Moira Owens, age 68 of Fremont, passed away Monday, August 08, 2011 at her home following a lingering illness. Moira was born on July 31, 1943 in Glasgow, Scotland and later married Robert Owens on June 24, 1961 in Manchester, England. Robert preceded her in death on September 9, 2009. Moira moved to the Fremont area in 1992 with her husband when he was transferred with Gerber Products Company. Moira had worked in the finance department of various companies, primarily in the accounts receivable/payable departments. Moira had enjoyed playing golf and remodeling and decorating homes. Moira is survived by her children, Robert Owens of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada; John (Sandi) Owens of Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada; Amy (Trost) Langley of Hesperia; her grandchildren, Brittany, Samantha, J.J., Alexandra, Luke; her brother, Ernest (Millie) Murdoch of Burlington, Ontario, Canada. Moira was preceded in death by her son, Gary in 1972; her brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Elaine Murdoch. Private graveside memorial services will be held on Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada following cremation.
