Mary Elizabeth Plotts, age 78 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Harbor Hospice Leila & Cyrus Poppen Residence in Muskegon. Mary was born on June 17, 1938 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to Fredrick and Helen (Klenk) Zylstra and moved to the White Cloud area in 1958. Mary met and married Theodore Plotts on August 8, 1959 in White Cloud and Theodore preceded her in death on December 23, 1985. Mary and Theodore had moved to Texas for several years and Mary moved back to Michigan after the passing of Theodore. Mary had worked at Wolverine World Wide in Big Rapids for several years and later was waitress at many area restaurants. Mary enjoyed camping, gardening, was a meticulous homemaker, enjoyed Bingo, going to yard sales, watching and feeding the birds and listening to country music. Mary especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, spoiling the grandkids and great grandkids, many of whom called her "Sweet Mom". Mary touched the heart of everyone she ever met and never passed up the opportunity to stop and chat for a moment.

Mary is survived by her sons, John Williams of Azle, Texas; Perry Plotts of Azle, Texas; Bill (Beth) Plotts of White Cloud; Jim (Mary) Plotts of White Cloud; Fred Plotts of White Cloud; her daughters, Joyce (Gary) Zamarron of Edmore; Carol (Danny) Robeck of Newaygo; 17 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Pete Zylstra; her sister, Helen Schoening; and her son-in-law George Green Jr.

VISITATION: Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 11-1pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel with her grandson, Pastor Randy Lance presiding. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : to the Mary Plotts family to assist with a cemetery monument.
