Spampinato, Mary Mamie Mary Mamie Spampinato, age 100 of Fremont, passed away Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Mary was born on March 23, 1904 in Sugar Notch, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Margaret (Pierogas) Visotski and married Benjamin Charles Sovinski. Benjamin Charles preceded her in death in 1943. She later married Frank Spampinato in 1945 in New York and Mary and Frank moved to Fremont in 1962. Frank preceded her in death in 1963. She had been a homemaker all her life and was an outstanding cook and member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. She is survived by her son, Ben J. (Marie) Sovinski of Fremont; grandchildren, Mike (Kathy) Sovinski; Tony Sovinski; Dan (Cindy) Sovinski; Jon (Terri) Sovinski; Joe Sovinski; Tom (Margaret) Kowalski; Mike (Mary Jane) Sullivan; Julie Sovinski; 14 great grandchildren; 3 great great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy, her brother, Anthony Visotski, great grandson, Steven Sullivan. Funeral Mass Services were held on Monday, September 20, 2004 from the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont with Rev. Father Tony Russo presiding with interment in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may consider the Newaygo Medical Care Facility or Mass requests to All Saints Catholic Church for memorial contributions in memory of Mary.
