Mary Rosa VanDyke, a beloved resident of Hesperia, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, July 28th, 2026, at the age of 58. Born on October 31st, 1967, in Hastings, Michigan, Mary was a beacon of love and joy to all who knew her.

Mary is survived by her soulmate and best friend, Joseph VanDyke, her beloved children, Angel (Eddie Greene) VanDyke and Joseph (Samantha) VanDyke, who will continue to honor her legacy. Her grandchildren, Mason, Cheyenne, Zander, Rochelle, and Bella, will forever hold her close in their hearts. Mary also leaves behind her treasured fur baby, Rosie, who was her constant companion. Mary is also survived by her siblings, Wesley Harris, Earl Harris, and Betty (Ivan) Sutton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orvie Gaylord Harris and Sonya Rosa Harris.

A woman of simple pleasures, Mary found immense joy in bird watching, savoring a good cup of coffee, and watching wrestling. She loved camping and was often seen with her favorite chicken, Henny, by her side. Above all, Mary cherished spending time with her family, who were the center of her world. Mary will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the indelible mark she left on the hearts of those who loved her.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the Visitation at Crandell Funeral Homes - Fremont Chapel, on Friday, August 7th, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm at the same location. Mary will be laid to rest at Big Prairie-Everett Cemetery in White Cloud, MI, at 1:30 pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel.
