Schmucker, Mattie Mattie Schmucker, age 92 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2007 at the University Park Living Center in Muskegon. Mattie was born on March 2, 1915 in Shipshewana, Indiana to Moses D. and Barbara Ellen (Miller) Yoder and later married Harvey Schmucker on May 26, 1934 in Elkhart, Indiana. Harvey preceded her in death on October 12, 1994. Mattie has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where she had been a cook at the White Cloud Public Schools for many years until her retirement. She was a longtime active member of the White Cloud Mennonite Church and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, reading She is survived by her daughters, Barbara L. (Clayton) Lovell of Davison, Michigan; Kathryn A. (Stephen) Frantz of North Muskegon; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; her sisters, Erma Miller of Middlebury, Indiana; Edith Yoder of Goshen, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Orva Yoder and Fora Yoder. Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at the White Cloud Mennonite Church with Pastor Mark Richey presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery.
