Max Samuel Kirwin, age 82, of Hesperia passed away on June 27, 2013, at his home with his family by his side. Max was born on January 7, 1931 in Walkerville to Samuel Phoenix and Eva (Raby) Kirwin and married Dolly A. Bryan on October 10, 1986, in Walkerville. Max had worked at Campbell Wyatt Cannon for over 30 years until his retirement. Max was a lifetime member of the Bitely VFW and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Max is survived by his loving wife, Dolly; children, Shelly (Charles) Carter of Pentwater, Maxine (Al) Masta of Walkerville, John (Nancy) Kirwin of Rothbury, Helen (Ben) Johnson of Manistee, and Heather (Bryan) DeAugustine of Marquette; step children, Reggie (Linda) Bryan of Fremont, Michelle (Mark) Fairchild of Hesperia, Rex (Sally) Bryan of Dowling, MI., and Kim (Chris) Lumbert of Hickory Corners, MI.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Arlene Fairchild; daughter-in-law, Angie Kirwin; and step son-in-law, Allen Fairchild of Hesperia. Max was preceded in death by his son, Kelly Kirwin; brothers and sisters, Mable Fairchild, Ruth Helm, Mildred Wickwire, Richard "John" Kirwin, Thelma "Hope" Tracy, Helen Eason, Bryce Kirwin, Wayne Kirwin; and step daughter Diane Fairchild.
