Maxine L. Ebert, age 83 of Grant, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at A New Beginnings Adult Foster Care Home in Hesperia. Maxine was born on December 10, 1935 in Grant to Tommy and Ella Mae (Seaman) Lane and had been a longtime resident of the Grant area. Maxine had been a social worker with the Michigan Department of Social Services until her retirement. Maxine enjoyed making quilts for family and friends and also made many quilts to be donated to those in need. Maxine is surived by her children, Robert Henry, Anne Webb, Barbara Faulkner, Mark Ebert, David Ebert; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, James "Bill" Powles. She was preceded in death by her son, Peter Henry; her sisters and brothers, Janice Lane; Robert Powles, Jack Powles, Martin Powles.
