Kempf, Maxwell Maxwell Kempf, age 91, of Lakeview passed away on Friday, July 1, 2005, at his daughters home. He was born on February 7, 1914, in Newaygo County to Raymond and Maude Lee (Wilcox) Kempf and married Crystal June Schroeder on November 13, 1937, at the Sitka United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Holton High School and Michigan State University. Maxwell was a farmer for many years and a long time member of the Sitka United Methodist Church and former member of The First Reform Church of Fremont. Maxwell is survived by his children, Pat (George) Shriver of Lakeview and Tom (Dianne) Kempf of Fremont; 8 grandchildren, Kris Balaskovitz of Whitehall, Kim Carr of Lakeview, George M. Shriver of Lakeview, Kelly Nielsen of Lakeview, Angie Gibbie Fremont, Thomas Kempf of Holton, Lisa VanBoven of Fremont, and Tricia Luchies of Fremont; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Marian, and his wife Crystal on June 16, 2004. Visitation and funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery.
