Mercile Ferne Myers Mercile Ferne Myers, age 76, of Hesperia passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2000, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. She was born on June 27, 1923, in Hesperia to Herbert & Jennie Ferne (Frink) Brickey and married Basil Elwood Myers on September 23, 1942, in Muskegon. She was a retiree from Gerber Products Company and was a member of the Hesperia Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her loving husband Basil of Hesperia; sons, Charles (Pamela) Myers of Hesperia; William "Bill" (Diane) Myers of Hesperia; Donald (Nancy) Myers all of Hesperia; Darrel (Kim Hart) Myers of Grand Haven; Dick (Cindy) Myers of Hesperia; 26 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond (Linda) Brickey of Fremont; sisters, Doris Smith of Hesperia; Louann Sumner of Hesperia; Joyce (Bob) Wilkinson of Lowell; sister-in-laws, Everlyn Brickey of Hesperia; Evidene Erdman of Montague; Katherine Myers of Grand Rapids; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Herbert F. Brickey Jr., grandson, Chucky Lynn Myers and parents Herbert Sr. & Ferne. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 11, 2000 from the Hesperia Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kirby Smith officiating. Interment in West Hesperia Cemetery.
