Mereta W. Cregg, age 87 of Holton, passed away Wednesday at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on March 16, 1913 in Holton to Fred and Winnie (Tietsort) Hendrickson and married Raymond Cregg on May 25, 1935 in Holton. Raymond preceded her in death on June 26, 1984. She has been a lifelong resident of Holton and had been a elementary school teacher at the Reeths Puffer School until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church and ladies aid and the Michigan Education Association. She is survived by 2 daughters, Wanda Brannam of Holton; Nancy VanPatten of Holton; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; one sister, Evelyn Morrison; sister-in-laws, Eloda Scanlon & Virginia Hendrickson all of Holton. Funeral Services were held on Saturday at 11am from the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church with interment in Oakwood Cemetery-Holton.
