Chamberlin, Merna Merna Chamberlin, age 74 of Fremont, formerly of Flat Rock, passed away Friday, January 7, 2005 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Merna was born on August 31, 1930 in Flat Rock, Michigan to Jay and Sadie (Green) Chamberlin and moved to Newaygo County 20 years ago. Merna has been a resident at the Countryside Estate in Fremont since 1993 where she enjoyed singing, taking walks and bead making. She is survived by her mother, Sadie Green of Carrollton, Texas; her brothers, John (Betsy) Chamberlin of Milford, Michigan; David (Paulette) Chamberlin of Circleville, Ohio; her sister, Judy (Dan) Fuller of Carrollton, Texas; several nieces and nephews including, Becky (Jim) Tibbe of Grant and her children, Megan (Jason) Ross, Micah, Meredith, Jordan, Jaron Tibbe; her special friends at Countryside Estate in Fremont. She was preceded in death by her father, Jay Chamberlin and by her sister, Irene Chamberlin. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 12, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Mr. Daren Penwell of the Bailey Christian Church presiding with interment in Cemetery in Flat Rock, Michigan.
