Mike was born on May 2, 1955 in Warren, Michigan to James and Norma (Turner) Burgess and was a graduate of East Kentwood High School. Mike was a fixture builder by trade and later became the manager of the fixture department at Unique Model until 2006, when he took an early retirement due to health reasons. Mike will be remembered for his beautiful blue eyes, witty personality and over the top sense of humor. His famous homemade chocolate malts were a tradition whenever the kids or grandkids visited. Mike's happiest moments were the big family dinners when all family was present and the house was filled with noise and laughter. He will be sadly missed. A private graveside service was held at Goodwell Township Cemetery in White Cloud, Michigan, Wednesday, October 24, 2012.
