Michael L. A. Daly, age 48 of Walker and Fremont, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids. Michael was born on October 25, 1967 in Los Angeles, California. Michael moved to the Walker area in 2012 from Santa Clarita, California. Michael had been a computer programmer at the AvaSure Company in Belmont. Michael had achieved the level of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America and had served in the United States Navy. Michael enjoyed playing disc golf at the Branstrom Park course, bicycling, spinning, and reading. He was always seeking knowledge and always had a smile for everyone he met. Michael was a valuable member of our family who will be greatly missed! Michael is survived by his mother, Sharon Daly of Fremont; his sisters, Anne (Frank) Alustiza of Stockton, California; Catherine (Loc) Daly-Nguyen of Pacifica, California; his nephew, Colson Nguyen; his significant other, Lisa Townsend and her son, Alex Townsend-Hay of Walker; his aunts, Margaret McGovern of Portage; Patricia (Allen) Butchbaker of Marcellus, Michigan; several cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Daly and by his uncle, Michael McGovern. MEMORIAL SERVICES: Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel (7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412) with a VISITATION from 12-2 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel.
