Michael Lamar Dixon was born April 22, 1977 in Southfield, Michigan. He was the second born son to the union of Ronnie Dixon Sr. and Donna Jean Robinson-Dixon. He shared his childhood with his three siblings: Leslie, Ronnie Jr., and Michelle. Michael joined Metropolitan Baptist Church as a teenager in Detroit, Michigan under the pastorage of Reverend Dr. Darryl W. Robinson. It was here where he accepted Christ as his personal savior. He was active in the Youth Ministry, and he assisted with the Senior Citizen Ministry. His Christian values of love, compassion, and generosity continued throughout his life. He was loved by all. Michael received his high school diploma from Fremont High School in Fremont, Michigan. He has taken college courses at Grand Canyon University. He was a very loving and kind hearted man. He enjoyed friends, music, movies, cooking, collecting comic books, and most importantly his family. Michael truly loved his family and expressed it in no uncertain terms how his family meant the world to him. In his infinite wisdom, on Thursday, August 1, 2013, God called Michael Lamar Dixon home at the age of 36. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Fonzie L. Robinson and Mamie Marie Hall-Robinson. He leaves to cherish his memory: his mother, Donna Jean Robinson; his father and stepmother, Ronnie and Wilma Dixon Sr.; his brother, Ronnie (Valeria) Dixon Jr.; his sister, Leslie (Charles) Young; his sister, Michelle Dixon; nephews, Jason Young and Gabriel Dixon; nieces, Donnamarie Dixon, Danielle Young, Gwendolyn Dixon, and Mia Dixon; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends. A celebration service of Michaels life will be held at 12 noon on Saturday August 10 at the Glory of Latter House Ministry Church in White Cloud.
