Michael R. Perrin, age 65 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following a short illness. Mike was born on August 21, 1945 in Muskegon to Seward and Rena Mary (Lamb) Perrin and has been a lifelong resident of White Cloud. Mike graduated from White Cloud in 1963 and later received his associates degree in diesel mechanics from Ferris State University. Mike joined the United States Marine Corps where he served during the Vietnam War. After discharge, Mike came back to White Cloud where he had owned and operated Mikes Amoco Gas Station for 18 years and then began a career as a real estate agent with Westdale Real Estate in Newaygo until his retirement in 2005. Mike enjoyed hunting and fishing all his life, was a member of the White Cloud V.F.W., longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud but found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. Mike is survived by his wife, Diane of White Cloud; his children, Michele Perrin of White Cloud; Michael (Tracie) Perrin of White Cloud; Kimberly (Jamey) Montague of Hesperia; Nicholas Perrin of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Steve Perrin of Reno, Nevada; William (Gloria Jean) Perrin of Grandville; Jeannine (John ) LaPointe of Carr Settlement, Michigan; Douglas Perrin of White Cloud; Jon Perrin of White Cloud; his mother-in-law, Guelda Schultz of Cedar Springs; several nieces and nephews. VISITATION : Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 11am at the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud with military rites. INTERMENT : White Cloud Cemetery.
