Obituary

Michelle R. Williams, 61, of Newaygo, Michigan, formerly of Cadillac, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11th, 2026, at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids after a brief illness.

Born on May 28, 1964, in Cadillac, Michigan, Michelle was the daughter of Sandra Dellarocca and Donald Wooley II.

Michelle lived life with a spirit of adventure and a heart wide open. Whether she was on a motorcycle trip to Sturgis, traveling to the Bahamas, piling a car full of kids for a road trip (even if it meant getting a little lost along the QEW), or sharing laughter and mischief with her “sister from another mister,” Rose, she embraced every moment fully. She found deep joy in the simple, beautiful things—tending to her plants and flowers, relaxing by the lake, and caring for animals of all kinds. Michelle had a special softness for all creatures, domesticated or not, and rarely met one she didn’t love.

More than anything, Michelle cherished her family and friends. Her greatest happiness came from time spent together—laughing, storytelling, and making memories that will be held close forever. She will be remembered for her strength, her unmistakable laugh, her generous and giving nature, and the way she made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

She is lovingly survived by her mother and stepfather, Sandra and Carl of Cadillac; her brother Donnie of Cadillac; her sister Chelsie (Rocky) Dushane of Georgia; her son Chris (Sarah) of Iowa, and grandchildren Connor, Madison, Anabelle, and Lincoln; her daughter Shannon of New York, and grandson Jackson; her daughter Emily (Kevin) of Fremont, and granddaughters Abbi and Lilly; stepdaughters Jamie and Heather of Arizona; her cherished best friend, Rose Brown of Cadillac and her two daughters, Colie and Danielle of Manton; significant other, Steve Reed of Newaygo; as well as many other friends and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald; her grandmother, Hettie Dellarocca; and her husband, John Dinnen.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a private ceremony will be held at a later date.

Michelle’s love, laughter, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, or any local animal shelter in Michelle’s memory.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the care team at Corewell Blodgett Hospital for their compassion and support during this time.
