Mikalee A. McCastle, age 62 of Fremont, went home to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on Saturday, January 1, 2011, in Branson Missouri. Mikalee was born on October 30, 1948, in Muskegon to Wayne and Ruth (McCartney) Parks and married Dale McCastle on July 9, 1966. Mikalee was full of life and made the most of everyday. She loved shopping, sewing, hunting, and traveling. Mikalee owned and operated several businesses in the area including Bridal Illusions and Formal, Tender Touch Edu-Care, Tender Memories (with special friend Judy Wallace), and Closet Treasures. Mikalee is survived by her loving husband Dale; children, Kristin and T. Gary Benson of Branson, Missouri, Kelly and Shawn Walker of Fremont, and Carla McCastle of Fremont. She was a loving Nana to Ashley, Samantha, Christopher, Darion, Maddison, Jakob and Kyle. Mikalee had two special aunts, Flo Bates and Judy Rosenberg, both of Muskegon. She was preceded in death by her parents Wayne and Ruth Parks, and most recently her son Keven McCastle on December 25, 2009. Funeral Services were held on Friday, January 7, 2011, at the Wesleyan Church in Fremont with interment in Jewel Cemetery.
