Mildred "Mickey" Marie Tyler, age 82, of Fremont passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Mickey was born on March 24, 1936, in Fremont to Aden John and Ruth (Barnette) Kerns and married Clare Lewis Tyler on August 16, 1980, in Fremont. Mickey worked at Gerber Products for many years and was very proud of her service for the State Of Michigan. She was appointed a supervisory position by Governor Blanchard for the Five Cap Organization. Mickey enjoyed antiques, gardening, visiting friends, and was a huge Tigers fan. She supported 4-H groups and FFA. Mickey loved her family and supported her children and grandchildren in every way possible. Mickey is survived by Kim and Tim Trudell-Normand of Negaunee, Kip and Amy Tyler of Blue Springs, MO., Erin and Steven Barrabe of Gwinn, Robert and Star Tyler of Fremont, and Noah and Sara Tyler of Muskegon; 12 grandchildren; brother and sisters, Aden B. and Julie Kerns, Virginia Keenan, and Kathy and Bob Vanopynen. She was preceded by her husband, Clare; brother, Edward Kerns; and sisters, Harriette Converse and Polly Newhaus. There will be a memorial service for Mickey at 11 AM on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider Five Cap Inc.
