Mona Rae Cook, age 78 of Muskegon, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Leila & Cyrus Poppen Residence in Muskegon. Mona Rae was born on February 13, 1940 in Fremont to Marion and Estelle B. (Westbrook) Cook and graduated from Fremont High School in 1958. Mona later received a degree as an x-ray and coding technician and worked for Dr. Z. Holly Sr, Dr. Z. Holly Jr., Dr. Johnston, Dr. L. Joystead and Dr. R. Osland until her retirement after 43 years in the medical field. Mona had been a member of the Berean Church in Muskegon and enjoyed reading and listening to classical and gospel music. Mona is survived by her sisters and brother, Brenda (Dale) Weaver of Fremont; Merla Bytwerk of Muskegon; Richard (Sharon) Cook of Fremont; 3 nieces and 3 nephews. Private graveside services were held at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery in White Cloud where Mona Rae was buried next to her parents.
