Myles Hollowell, age 83, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008 in Fremont. He was born on December 27, 1924 in Fremont and married Lena Robins on December 31, 1946 in Fremont. Myles had worked as a Draftsman for Continental Motors prior to becoming a longtime farmer in the Fremont area. Myles was a member of the Fremont Laurels VFW Post #6898 and served on the submarine USS Jack during World War II. Myles is survived by his loving wife, Lena; son, Rodney (Robin) Hollowell of Fremont; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, LaVerne Hollowell of Hesperia; and daughter-in-law, Opal Powers of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his son, Larry in 1997 and brothers Max and Keith Hollowell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 am on Wednesday, July 30, at the Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Carolin Spragg officiating.
