Myrla M. Holzwarth, age 72 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 3, 2009 at her home. Myrla was born on May 26, 1937 in Kansas City, Kansas to Charles Edward and Nettie (Cobb) Oldham. Myrla had lived in the Flint area for many years until she met and married Andy Hawes in April 2004 and moved to the Fremont area in 2004. Myrla enjoyed painting pictures, decorating her home and reading and writing poetry. She enjoyed shopping for clothing and jewelry and liked to watch the birds at her home. Myrla enjoyed talking with her friends and life in general. Myrla is survived by her husband, Andy Hawes of Fremont; her children, Vicki Kaza of Pontiac; Gregory S. (Linda) Grice of Bellevue, Ohio; Toni Schemenauer of Gulfport, Florida; Kimberly (Wayde) Holbic of Florence, South Carolina; her special grand daughter, Angie Shustock of Swartz Creek, Michigan; 11 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 6 step children; 12 step grandchildren; 1 step great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Garwood Grice; by her brother, Darwin and by her sisters, Melba, Mildred, Marilyn, Myrene. VISITATION : Wed from 1-3pm at the Fremont United Methodist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday at 3pm at the church. INTERMENT : Crestlwood Memorial Cemetery in Grand Blanc, Michigan. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Fremont United Methodist Church.
