Nancy D. Dore, age, 70 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Nancy was born on September 28, 1938 in Hesperia to Angelo and June (Longley) Hills and graduated from Hesperia High School in 1957. Nancy met and later married Peter Dore Sr. on July 6, 1957 in Brunswick, Michigan. Nancy started work at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont where she was a lab technician in the quality control department for over 40 years until her retirement in 2000. Nancy enjoyed reading and gaming and recently started designing and working with stained glass. During Nancys younger years, she enjoyed traveling, snowmobiling, golfing, bowling. Nancy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Peter Dore Sr. of Fremont; her daughter, Cynthia Dore of Fremont; brothers, Jim (Pauline) Hills of White Cloud; Bob (Imelda) Hills of Petosky; her god daughter, Willow Massie of Rothbury; special friends, Rick & Phyllis Plankett of Brimley, Michigan; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Peter G. Opie Dore II on October 3, 1980; by her sister, Martha June Hills; her brother, Donald Hills Sr.; her nephew, Ron Hills Jr. VISITATION : Friday, April 17, 2009 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL MEMORIAL SERVICES : Friday, April 17, 2009 at 2pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : East Hesperia Cemetery.
