Nancy Irene Erickson Homister, age 68, of White Cloud passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Spectrum Health Rehab and Nursing Center in Reed City. Nancy was born on March 17, 1948, in Big Rapids to Theodore and Jennie (Briminstool) Erickson and has been married to Glen M. Homister for the last 28 years. Nancy worked in cafeteria at Ferris State College for many years and most recently worked in the bakery at Housemans in White Cloud decorating cakes. Nancy enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening and spending time with her family. Nancy is survived by her husband, Glen; children, Lee Ann (Mike) Chaffee of Flint and Martin (Rose) Homister of Holton; 6 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, LaVal (Blanch) Erickson, Beverly Erickson, Rosie (Raymond) Quast, Larry Erickson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents; brother, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter. There will be an Honor Dinner for Nancy at 1 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the family home.
