Nancy Jo Hoonhorst, age 61, passed away on October 27, 2025, in White Cloud, Michigan. Born on December 10, 1963, in Hudsonville, Michigan, Nancy brought warmth and vibrancy to the lives of those around her throughout her life.

Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother to her four children: daughters Brittanie Ploegstra (Reeder), Tiffanie Reeder, and Corttanie Reeder, son Zachary Reeder, and her grandson: Paul Reeder III. Her love for her family was evident in the time she spent with them and the joy she found in their company. She also shared a close bond with her mother, JoAnn Hoonhorst (Valdheer), and her brothers Micheal Hoonhorst, Mark Hoonhorst, and Thomas Hoonhorst. She was preceded in death by her partner, Paul Reeder Jr., father, Edward Hoonhorst, and her brother Edward Hoonhorst Jr.

A true free spirit at heart, Nancy embraced life with a sense of adventure and curiosity. She had a deep appreciation for nature and could often be found camping under the stars or exploring trails two-tracking through Michigan's backroads. Her love for plants and gardening reflected her nurturing soul and connection to the earth.

Nancy's interests were as unique as they were heartfelt—she was fascinated by Bigfoot theories, drawn to the culture of hippies, and captivated by true crime stories. She found joy in crocheting intricate patterns by hand and had a deep love for music that filled her home with rhythm and soul.

Her fun-loving personality made every gathering brighter. Whether sharing stories around a campfire or simply enjoying quiet moments surrounded by greenery, Nancy brought laughter and light wherever she went. Her adventurous spirit inspired those around her to live freely and love deeply.

She will be dearly missed by friends and family alike. Her legacy lives on not only through those who knew her but also through the memories of joy she created along the way. Her free spirit will live on forever.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate Nancy's life at the White Cloud United Methodist Church, located at 1125 E Newell St. on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at 1:00pm. Please come join if you are able to support the family and share your memories and stories of Nancy.
