Nancy J. Leaver, age 69 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at her home. Nancy was born on November 30, 1952 in Fremont to the Honorable Jay L. and Lois (Boeskool) Brookhouse and graduated from Fremont High School. Nancy lived in various cities throughout Michigan where she developed a love of coaching girls basketball, volleyball, softball and track and later moved back to Fremont in 2017 from Grand Rapids. Nancy enjoyed gardening, cooking, and was a member of the Fremont Moose Lodge #1555 where she enjoyed socializing with good friends. Nancy truly treasured the time she spent with her family – family trips, grandchildren's events, chili-cook offs, sister weekends, and gingerbread making parties. Nancy is survived by her children, Abe Leaver of St. Clair, Michigan; Rylee (Jason) Beauvais of Grand Rapids; her grandchildren, Ella Beauvais, Abby Beauvais, Madison Leaver, Peyton Leaver, Tara (Kyle) McAlpine and their children (great grandchildren) – Lucy and Henry McAlpine; her sisters and brothers, John (Barb) Brookhouse of Chassell, Michigan; Holly (Doug) Frakes of Williamston, Michigan; Betsy (Doug) Crater of Rochester, New York; Tony (Denise) Brookhouse of Whitinsville, Massachusetts; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her sister, Molly Fox and her brother, Nick Brookhouse.
