Nancy Wade, age 96 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, formerly of Hesperia, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021 in Colorado Springs. Nancy was born on July 28, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to Steph and Marcella (Standish) Slivinski and later moved to Kalamazoo. On June 30, 1971, Nancy married Rex Wade in Kalamazoo and they moved to Hesperia in 1982. Rex preceded her in death on July 22, 2002. Nancy had been a draftsperson for the City of Kalamazoo for many years, working in the street mapping and naming department until her retirement. Nancy was a former member of the Hesperia United Methodist Church and enjoyed the outdoors – hunting and fishing. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Susan (Robert) Slemmons of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her grandchildren – Elizabeth Martin and Sara Reimer; her great grandchildren – Rowan and Marian.
