Neal Clarence Crawford, 90 of Fremont, Formerly Muskegon passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon surrounded by his family. Neal was born to Earl G. and Nethlie (Bourgeois) Crawford on September 4th, 1931 in Wyoming Township, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Neal served 2 years in the Army during the Korean War with honorable discharge in July1954. Neal worked over 40 years for Continental Motors before his retirement in 1993. In his younger years he was a Football Coach and Speed Skating Coach. He married Rebecca (Walker) Crawford on March 31, 2000. Neal enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He also loved watching and feeding the birds on his deck. He enjoyed taking car rides with his wife Becky and trips to Muskegon to visit with friends he had made over the years. He also enjoyed learning about his ancestors and took pride in sharing many stories about his life and where he came from. Neal was a very compassionate, loving and giving man. He enjoyed spending time with all his grandchildren, he taught them card games, told them stories and was very proud of each of them. He was a very devoted and loving husband and Stepfather. He would do anything for his family. He was a devoted Christian and believer in God. He loved God with all his heart and soul. He was a passionate man with endless faith. Even On his final day of life he shared how excited he was to meet Jesus.
He leaves behind his wife of 21 years Becky; his step-children, Sheri (Kelly) Rogers of Fremont, John (Shelly) Carnes of Whitehall, Bob (Jodi) Carnes of Wyoming, and Amy (Jeremy) Carnes-Bartos of Manistee. Two brother-in-laws, Frank Walker of Newaygo, and Lance (Melissa) Walker of Fremont. One brother Eldon Crawford of Muskegon, He also leaves behind 13 precious grandchildren. Tyler, Mackenzie, Hailey, Addison, Aiden, Marshall, Charlotte, Alex, Cameron, Caleb, Andrew, Elijah and Isaiah.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in Memory of Neal.
