Nicholai Alexander Capallia-Bird, age 9 of Yulee, Florida and formerly of Newaygo, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 following injuries received in an automobile accident. Nicholai was born on June 24, 2007 in Camden County, Georgia to Andrew Bird and Tonya Naomi Capallia-Eason. Nicholai had been a resident of the White Cloud area until 2014 when he moved to Florida and was a 4th grade student at the Yulee Elementary School. Nicholai enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to everyone he met.
Nicholai is survived by his father and step-mother, Andrew & Sara Bird of Newaygo; his sisters, Nina Capallia-Bird of Newaygo; Naomie Eason of Yulee, Florida; Hailey Bird of Newaygo; his brother, Kayden Bird of Newaygo; paternal grandmother, Angie (Tony) Dooley of White Cloud; paternal grandfather, Keith Bird of White Cloud; paternal great grandmother, Carolyn Lambert of White Cloud; several aunts, uncles, cousins, great aunts and uncles. Nicholai was preceded in death by his brother, Nehemiah and his great grandfather, Donald C. Lambert.
VISITATION :Monday, November 7, 2016 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 11am at the Resonate Church in Newaygo. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : To the Bird Family for a memorial to be established later, checks payable to Crandell Funeral Home.
