Nickolas Thompson, age 41 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 13, 2020. Nickolas was born on August 7, 1979 in Big Rapids and graduated from Newaygo High School in 1997. Nickolas had been employed as a welder/pipefitter throughout his career. He was an avid outdoorsman and shared his love for hunting and fishing with his two children. Nickolas loved to cook, especially when it came to venison or fish that he brought home himself. Nickolas is survived by his children, Paige Lillianna Thompson of Newaygo; Luther Logan Thompson of Newaygo; his mother, Jackie Thompson of Newaygo; his sisters, Deanna (Vern) Malloy of Newaygo; Brandy (Brian Shafer) Thompson of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. A time to celebrate and remember Nickolas with the family will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 5-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349. NOTE : during the time of remembrance, a limited number of people will be permitted into the funeral home and family and friends will need to rotate in and out of the funeral home during the visitation with face coverings required.
