N. Norm Jorgensen, age 69 of Greenville, lost his battle to cancer on Saturday, July 20, 2009 at his home. Norm was born on October 10, 1939 in Big Rapids to Magnus and Lillian (Finch) Jorgensen and graduated from Big Rapids High School. Norm met and later married Barbara Shue on February 17, 1962 in Grand Rapids. Norm had been a prototype engineer at McInerys Spring and Wire for 25 years and then at Magna Donnelly until his retirement. Norm enjoyed antique and vintage car shows, playing cards, hunting and fishing, all types of sports, gaming at the casinos and was an avid Detroit Lions fan.

SURVIVORS : his wife of 47 years, Barbara; his daughter, Pam Jorgensen of Gowen; his son, Bruce (Teresa) Jorgensen of Coopersville; grandchildren, Heather, Angela and Adam; sisters, Georgia (Fritz) Bauman of Big Rapids; Gaynell (Bill) Knapp of Sheridan; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his son, Brad N. Jorgensen on Aug. 24, 2008; his brother, Keith Jorgensen; his sister, Shirley Tryon.
