Norma G. Beckett, age 83 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, February 01, 2016 at her home. Norma was born on January 16, 1933 in McKenzie, Tennesee to David Patrick and Hazel (Smith) Turner. Norma married Donald E. Beckett in June 1978 and Donald preceded her in death on December 31, 1999. Norma had worked as a sewer at the General Motors Company Alpine Plant 3rd shift for 32 years until her retirement in 1992 after 32 years. Norma moved to the White Cloud area in 1978 from Cutlerville and enjoyed camping and traveling in her motor home, cooking and canning, gaming, feeding the birds and especially treasured the time spent with her grandchildren. Norma is survived by her children, Tim (Wendy) Beckett; Kimberly (Gary) VanDerwood; Tammy (Bradley) Moore; Dan (Cheryl) Beckett; Shari Burgess; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; her brother, Harold (Jean) Turner; her special friend, Alice Patton. Norma was preceded in death by her sons, Michael Burgess and Rick Burgess; her grandson, Chad Burgess. VISITATION : Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel (1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349) FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Goodwell Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
