Olive Elizabeth (Christensen) DeLong, age 91 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, January 04, 2002 at her daughters home in White Cloud. She was born on June 28, 1910 in Muskegon to Frank and Anna (Smith) Califf and had been a switchboard operator at the Muskegon Chronicle for 25 years until her retirement in 1982. She is survived by her daughter, Amelia (James) Sutcliffe of White Cloud; her grandchildren, James (Kristin) Sutcliffe III of Morenci, MI; Christine (Luke) McKeown of White Cloud; Amy (Robert) Pierce of White Cloud; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Harriett VanPelt of Muskegon; brothers, Elmer A. Calliff of Muskegon; Frank A. Califf of Ravenna. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Brown and Virginia Dzur. Funeral graveside services were held in the spring at the Lincoln Township Cemetery following cremation.
