Olive May Hettmansperger, age 91 of Hesperia, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2016 at her home following a lingering illness. Olive was born on March 22, 1925 in Flushing, Michigan to Frank Dale and Edith May (Davis) Tinkham and later married Robert Hettmansperger on January 25, 1946 in Fremont. Robert preceded her in death on August 5, 2010. Olive has been a lifelong resident of the area and had worked at Gerber Products for a short period of time and then became a homemaker. Olive enjoyed harvesting the garden, Sunday drives, her pets, canning, baking, was well known for her homemade bread and especially treasured the time spent with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Olive is survived by her children, Christy Lou Zehner of Hesperia; Rollin (Toni) Hettmansperger of White Cloud; Everett Hettmansperger of Hesperia; Gary (Kelli) Hettmansperger of Hesperia; Sharon (Todd) Griffes of Hesperia; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Ann Campbell of Hesperia; Franklin Tinkham of Hesperia; Mary Jane Rossman of Hesperia; Wanda (Bob) Kakoczki of White Cloud; Wilma (Bob) Ball of White Cloud; Wayne Tinkham of Hesperia; Emery (Betsy) Tinkham of Hesperia; sister-in-law, Luella Tinkham of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. Olive was preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Allers in 1987; her sister, Donna and her brothers, Mernard, Don, Harry, Dan, and Paul Tinkham.

VISITATION : Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 1-3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : East Hesperia Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS: Hospice of Michigan or Alzheimer's Association.
