Ollie Harris, age 107 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2000 at her home. She was born on June 6, 1893 in Ethelville, Alabama to Henry Palmore and Callie (Jones) Palmore. She moved with her family from Alabama to Mississippi, then to St. Louis, Missouri, then to Chicago, Ill., and to White Cloud in 1950. She married Willie Harris in 1952 and he preceded her in death, along with her brothers Preston, John, Jesse, Jake and Emanuel Palmore; sisters Lillian, Gertrude, Lizzie, Fanny, Centrie, and Mollie. She was a faithful member of the New Bethel Baptist Church of White Cloud. She is survived by many generations of nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Thursday, August 10, 2000 from the New Bethel Baptist Church in White Cloud with Rev. L.H. Hannett presiding. The interment was in Lincoln Cemetery.
