Thompson, Opal L. Opal L. Thompson, age 76 of White Cloud formerly of Davison, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 4, 2005 at her home. Opal was born on September 15, 1928 in Broseley, Missouri to James Russell and Minnie (Pettit) Cosby and later married Herbert A. Thompson on April 16, 1946 in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Herbert preceded her in death on May 28, 2003. Opal has been a resident of the White Cloud area since 1997 when she and Herbert moved from the Davison area. She has been a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She is survived by her children, Danny Thompson of White Cloud; James (Kathie) Thompson of Clio; Nora Mitchell of Davison; Carol Thompson of White Cloud; 6 grandchildren, Kim, Steve, David, Lee Jr., Jennifer, Randy; 8 great grandchildren; her brothers, Bill (Did) Cosby of Neelyville, Missouri; R.C. (Flo) Cosby of White Cloud; Dale (Jennifer) Cosby of Neelyville, Missouri. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 7, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with interment in the Sherman Township Cemetery.
