Pamela Marie Beattie, age 47 of Holton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday at her home. She was born on Feb. 10, 1953 in Fremont to Francis and Mary Jane (Bulson) DuBois and married Donald Beattie on Aug. 20, 1971. She has been a lifelong resident of the Holton area where she owned and operated the Beattie Dairy Farm in Holton for the past 20 years. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, spending time with her grandchildren and working on her dairy farm. She is survived by her husband, Donald of Holton; her sons, Jeremy and friend Heather Bazinau of Holton; Justin and friend Jennifer Walters of Fremont; her grandchildren, Tyler, Drew and Megan Beattie; her mother Mary Jane Sweet; her grandmother, Anna Laura Bulson; sisters, Teresa (Joe) Richards; Julie (Gene) Koch; Gail (Ron) Russell; brothers, John (Vickie) DuBois; Dennis DuBois; her father-in-law, Jack (Ida Mae) Beattie; mother-in-law, Geraldine Beattie; stepmother, Connie Swanson; stepsisters, Coral Zack; Cindy Alexander; Pam Falbe; step brothers, Bill, Kevin, Bob Zack; Bruce, Kevin Kelly; brother-in-law, Gerald (Diane) Beattie; sister-in-law, Debbie (Randy) Dalquist; several aunts and uncles; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Francis in 1998. Funeral services were held on Monday November 13, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont Chapel with interment in the Lincoln Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the American Diabetes association for memorial contributions.
