Obituary

Pastor Rosswell "Lucky" Fulton, age 93 of Bitely, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on Thursday, April 13, 2023 following a decline in his health. Pastor Lucky was born on December 23, 1929 in Plymouth, Michigan to Arthur and Violet (Patterson) Fulton. Lucky joined the United States Army where he served during the Korean War until his honorable discharge as Sergeant where he received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. While in the service, Lucky married Donna Stickel on May 13, 1949 at Fort Benning, Georgia and together they began a lifelong journey together. Lucky moved to the Brohman and Bitely area in 1965 where opened Lucky's Auction House in White Cloud and had been an auctioneer in the area. He also owned a Antique Store in Brohman and sold lumber, hardware and building materials. He was a licensed builder in the area and built homes and buildings in the area. He operated Little Buddies Bait and Little Daisies Ice Cream in Brohman for several years, served as the Monroe Township Supervisor, served as Monroe Township Tax Assessor, held a Real Estate Broker's license; served on the Board of Elders at the Bitely Church and had been a bus driver for the Big Jackson Schools. In 1999, Lucky purchased property along M37 and founded Amazing Grace Acres Church which he built and later built the Chapel in 2000. Lucky's ministry also brought him to many of the local nursing homes for over 26 years and he held Jamborees at the church for over 46 years. Lucky shared his talents of song writing and poem writing as well with many in the community. Above all, Lucky's greatest treasure was his family including his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Lucky is survived by his wife of 73 years, Donna of Bitely; his children, Ross (Maryhelen) Fulton; Kathleen Fulton; Randy (Toni) Fulton; Rusty (Diane) Fulton; Ricky (Kim) Fulton; 15 grandchildren; 68 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. Lucky was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Violet and Bill Goldsworthy; his son-in-law, Bill Fulton Jr.; granddaughter, Miranda Vincent; grandsons, Brian Wightman; 4 brothers and 1 sister. VISITATION : Monday, April 17, 2023 from 4-7pm at the Amazing Grace Acres Church 762 Woodland Drive Bitely MI 49309 and Tuesday, April 18, 2023 from 10-11am at the church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 11am at the Amazing Grace Acres Church in Bitely. MILITARY HONORS : Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the church. INTERMENT : Woodville Cemetery.
