Patricia Ann Miller, age 87 of Blue Lake Township, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at her home. Patricia was born on March 16, 1935 in Traverse City, Michigan to William and Gladys (Lanham) Strahan and grew up in the Traverse City area. Patricia later attended Layton School of the Arts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she became a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Pat met and married Richard C. Miller on July 3, 1954 in Traverse City, whom she dearly loved. She has been an artist most of her life and enjoyed spending time in her studio. Her works were displayed in Lansing, Fremont; Whitehall, and Cassopolis and also on the Art Train at the Nation's Capital. She was a member of the Garden Club of Traveler's Rest, Dade City, Florida, had served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years, loved to be by the water, swimming, gardening, teaching art, and playing the cello and piano. Pat and Richard also enjoyed spending their winters in Florida, sailing the great lakes and traveling via motorcycle across Canada and the United States. Pat will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Pat is survived by her husband of 68 years, Richard of Blue Lake Township; her daughters, Pamela A. (Neil Conlon) Rygg of Dowagiac; Sandra L. (Charles) Petlick of Wasilla, Alaska; her grandchildren, Andrea (Todd) Skunkweiler; Ryan (Brandy) Erickson; Justin (Susan) Doyle; her great grandchildren, Tristan Schultz; Wesley Erickson, William Doyle, Marleigh Schultz; Ava Erickson; Leia Doyle, Lucas Doyle; Hudson Schultz; her sister, Janet (John) Noecker of Lake Ann, Michigan.
