Patricia "PJ" Joyce Johnson, age 82 of Croton, formerly of Southern California, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at her home following a long illness. PJ was born on March 15, 1941 in Jackson, Michigan to Franklin "Buddy" and Martha (Mead) Fralick and later married her high school sweetheart, Duane "Butch" Johnson Sr. on March 23, 1963. PJ had worked at Honeywell for 32 years until her retirement as an inspector and they returned to Michigan and settled on the Muskegon River in Croton. She stayed active in the area where she was a 20 plus year member of the Croton American Legion. She was always giving of her time and talents to others and did everything for everyone. PJ and Duane raised their 3 children in California where they enjoyed camping, boating, spending time at the Colorado, River. PJ loved being in the outdoors and sunshine - sunbathing. PJ raised and showed Flemish Giant Rabbits in California as a hobby for many years. She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends and was loved by all. PJ is survived by her husband of 60 years, Duane "Butch" Johnson Sr. of Croton; her sons, Brian (Betsy) Salicco of Morley; Troy (Brenda) Johnson of Westminster, California; Duane Johnson Jr. of Santa Ana, California; daughter, Jenney (Jim) Green of Howard City; her grandson, Kevin (Nicole) Johnson of White Cloud; granddaughter, Joelle (Scott) Hagadus of Howard City; her grandson, Austin Johnson of Westminster, California; great grandchildren, Beau, Korbin, Ryan, Elliott, Landon, Connor and Paige; several cousins, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Travis Johnson Private services will be held at a later date with interment in the Croton Township Cemetery.
