Patricia Jane Pierce, age 71 of Fremont, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. Patricia was born on May 16, 1951 in Baldwin to George Lloyd and Echo Joyce (Culver) Krise. Patricia met and later married Elbert Pierce on April 20, 1990 in Rockford and Elbert preceded her in death on December 5, 2010. Patricia had worked in the janitorial services at the Henry County Court House in Indiana for several years until her retirement and has been a longtime resident of the West Michigan area. Patricia enjoyed camping, puzzles, mushroom and rock hunting with her grandchildren in her younger years, listening to Patsy Cline and music in general, fishing, was an animal lover, and collected cuckoo and train clocks. Patricia was known for her stubbornness but along with that, she had a loving heart and truly cherished her family. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Kelly) Conley of Cedar Springs; her grandsons and great grandchildren – Roger Drayton III; Brentt Durbin and his children, Lincoln and Lillian; Zachary (Ashley) Conley and his children, Corbin and Blake; her sisters, Barbara Bower of Hesperia; Charlene (Mike) DeBlock of Idlewild; many nieces and nephews including, James (Krissy) Bullis of Hesperia. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Echo; her husband, Elbert; her brothers, Edward Krise, Lanny Krise; and George Krise.
