Patricia Lynn Slater, age 79, of Holton passed away on Saturday, July 13 2019 at her home. Patricia was born on April 12, 1940, in Munising to Hilding Carl and Magdalene (Fox) Olson and had been cook for the Holton Public Schools, and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. She had also worked at Gerber Products Company in the customer service department. She enjoyed reading, shopping, baking, crafts, swimming, going to Tamarac, and cherished time with her family. Patricia was an active member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Brunswick.
Patricia is survived by her children, Judith Irene (David) Sova of Holton, Joseph Christopher Slater of Holton, and Janell Marie (Roger) Deur of Fremont; grandchildren Amber Lynn Sova, Derek David Sova, Kenneth Joseph Deur, and Miranda Michelle (Dillon) Arends; sister, Judith Jean (William) Gossett of Tennessee; nephews, Alex James Gossett and Tracy Dean Gossett. She was preceded in death by her daughter Michele Marie Slater in 1966.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, from 5 – 8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont and then from 10 – 11 AM on Wednesday at the St. Michael Catholic Church in Brunswick. There will be a Rosary on Tuesday evening starting at 7:30 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Church with Father Peter Schafer officiating. Interment will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Michael's Altar Society.
