Patrick Gordon Sullivan, age 61 of Newaygo, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home. Pat was born on October 6, 1961 in Fremont to Howard Robert and Lorraine Jean (Schmitt) Sullivan and graduated from Newaygo High School in 1980. Pat had been a mechanic for McNitt Contract Carriers until his retirement and has been a lifelong resident of the area. Pat was an active volunteer in Garfield Township and the community and took great pride in the veterans memorial at Garfield Township Cemetery. Pat treasured the time he spent with his family and his grandchildren and his family was the most important part of life for Pat. Pat is survived by his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Sullivan of Newaygo; his children and grandchildren, his daughter - Sara (Seth Finney) Sullivan of Newaygo and their children, Ellie Sullivan and David Finney; his son – Daniel (Samantha) Sullivan of Newaygo; his sisters, Robin (Mike) Pillars of Newaygo; Marge (Ron) Breuker of White Cloud; his brother, James (Jenny) Sullivan of Byron Center; his nephews, Brian (Neva) Sullivan and Kyle Sullivan. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Lorraine and by his niece, Heather Kniat. A Celebration of Remembrance and Memorial Gathering will be on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 1-4pm at the Garfield Township Hall 7180 S. Bingham Newaygo MI 49337.
