Obituary

Paul Laverne Fetterley, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024, at his residence in White Cloud, Michigan. Born on Sunday, January 29, 1950, in Goodwell Township, Michigan, Paul lived a life marked by devotion to his family, his work, and his community.

A skilled draftsman by profession, Paul spent his career turning visions into reality, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, precision, and creativity. His love for his family was unparalleled, and he found immense joy in watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.

Paul is survived by his cherished wife, Janet Ellen (Thatcher) Fetterley of White Cloud, Michigan, who stood by his side for many years. He also leaves behind his loving sisters: Barb Eyer of Jackson, Michigan, Sandra Mast of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Pamela Miller of White Cloud, Michigan, Debbie (Harold) Wright of New Windsor, Illinois, and Dixie (Nick) Christensen of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

His memory lives on through his daughter, Paula (Roan) Huson, his son, Michael Fetterley, stepchildren Jason (Tara) Stillwell, Rachel (Jamie) Belcher, and Sarah Stillwell, as well as his treasured grandchildren, Adam (Shayde) Sikkenga, Shane (Hannah) Huson, Michelle (Ace) Huson, and his great-grandchildren: Star, Aurora, Ryker, Luna, Jace, Nora, Colton, and Hunter.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Milo Laverne Fetterley and Marjorie Nellie (Waller) Fetterley, his sisters Bonnie Adams and Sherry Adams, and brothers-in-law Gordon Miller, Larry "LG" Adams, Allan Adams, Terry Mast,  and Wilbur Eyer. He is also reunited with his nephew, Geoffrey "Deebs" Adams.

The family invites friends and loved ones to celebrate Paul's life at a funeral service on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Crandell Funeral Home Inc., White Cloud, MI. The service will be officiated by Jerry Jaquish. Visitation will occur prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at 2:30 PM at the Goodwell Township Cemetery in White Cloud, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the White Cloud United Methodist Church Building Fund, continuing Paul's commitment to supporting his community's growth and well-being.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Crandell Funeral Home - White Cloud. Paul's spirit will be missed deeply but will continue to inspire through the lives he touched and the memories he created. May he rest in peace.
