Obituary

Paul E. Heintzelman, Sr., age 90 of Paris, Michigan, formerly of Dorr, Michigan, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in White Cloud. Paul was born on October 3, 1930 in Grand Rapids. 1 of 11 children born to John and Mary (Honson) Heintzelman and later married Judith Jones on December 15, 1967 in Grand Rapids. Judy preceded him in death on June 13, 2008. Paul had worked at Westinghouse in Grand Rapids for over 20 years until his retirement in 1984 as supervisor. Paul was a former member of the Newaygo County Sheriff's Posse and had hosted the Pickeral Lake Campground in Baldwin for several years. Paul was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge and was also a former member of the Dorr American Legion. Paul is survived by his children, Eugene "Geno" (Stephanie) Heintzelman of Paris, Michigan; Paula Foster of Beulaville, North Carolina; Jackie (Joe) Kukal Jr. of White Cloud; Sharon (Douglas) Cannon of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Judy; his son, Paul Heintzelman Jr.; his sisters, Hilda, Mary and Hazel, his brothers, Harold, Ray, Richard, Leo, Roy; Art, John. VISITATION : Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349. FUNERAL SERVICES with MILITARY HONORS : Sunday, March 14, 2021 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Floral View Cemetery in Grandville, Michigan. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the Newaygo County Compassion Home. Friends may send a condolence, share a memory, or share a photo with the Hentzelman family online at www.crandellfh.com. NOTE : during the visitation, a limited number of people will be permitted into the funeral home and friends will need to rotate in and out of the funeral home during the visitation with face coverings being required. Family members and friends not able to attend the services may watch the funeral services via Zoom and will need to contact the funeral home for the Zoom link information prior to the services. Friends may choose to listen to the Paul's funeral services via radio broadcasting on their car radios in the funeral home parking lot on the day of the services by tuning their radios to 99.9 starting 5 minutes prior to the services starting.
