Paul J. Kendziorski, age 66 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a long illness. Paul was born on September 18, 1945 in Cheboygan to Alexander Peter and Anne (Reisner) Kendziorski and later graduated from Central Michigan University with a Masters Degree in Education. Paul married Alice J. Tanner on June 8, 1968 in Montague and together they moved to the Fremont area in 1969 from Mount Pleasant. Paul started his teaching career at the Fremont Junior High School and later moved to the Fremont High School where he taught until his retirement in 1990. Paul had been active in the Fremont Education Association where he had served as negotiator for several years, enjoyed woodworking, photography and traveling with history in mind. Paul was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont. Paul is survived by his wife of 43 years, Alice of Fremont; his sons and their families, Nikolai (Amy) Kendziorski and son Andrew of Durango, Colorado; Nathan Kendziorski and daughter, Olivia of Fraser, Colorado; Jarek (Kristine) Kendziorski and daughter, Jessie of Grant; his mother-in-law, Ludie Tanner of Townsend, Tennessee; his sisters and brothers, Stan (Phyllis) Kendziorski of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania; Mary Anne (Richard) Marquette of Hillsdale, Michigan; Barb (Doug) Nichols of North Carolina; John (Brenda) Kendziorski of Lake City, Michigan; sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-laws, Bruce (Joyce) Tanner of Townsend, Tennessee; Betty Buttke of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Sarah Barclay of North Muskegon; Nancy Kunde of Port Huron; James B. Tanner Jr. of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 11:30am at the All Saint Catholic Church in Fremont with a time of visitation with the family from 10:00am 11:30am at the church. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Fremont Education Association Scholarship Fund or All Saints Catholic Church for memorial contributions in memory of Paul.
