Paul E. Thumser, age 87 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023 at his home following a short illness. Paul was born on February 18, 1936 in Everett Township to Edwin C. and Irene G. (Guthrie) Thumser and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1954. Paul entered the United States Navy where he served until his honorable discharge. Paul married Marilyn Eggerstedt on October 11, 1957 in White Cloud and Marilyn preceded him in death on March 24, 1989. Paul later married Patricia (Afton) Hosman in 1990. Paul had worked in the Casting Department at Howmet Manufacturing for many years until his retirement. Paul has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where he enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, gardening, walking and riding bikes. Paul enjoyed traveling across the United States and had visited all 50 states. He enjoyed being a snowbird and spending winters in Florida socializing. Paul is survived by his wife, Pat of White Cloud; his children, Mark (Sue) Thumser of White Cloud; Paula (Todd) Kunst of Alto; Amy Woodworth of Grand Rapids; Nancy (Scott) Parsons of White Cloud; Mike (Mary Jo) Hosman of Newaygo; Cheryl Tyler of Newaygo; Steve Hosman of Newaygo; Lori (Randy) Schultz of Newaygo 25 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; his sister, Barbara (Ron) Richards of White Cloud; his sister-in-law, Audrey Thumser of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; his parents, Edwin and Irene Thumser and his brother, Conrad Thumser.
