Paula R. Hansen, age 62 of Fremont, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon. Paula was born on February 16, 1954 to Donald and Audrey (Ladner) Lyons and graduated from Fremont High School in 1972. Paula has been a longtime resident of the Fremont area where she was a daycare provider for many years in her home. Paula had been active in her childrens lives while they were younger and always was an active participant in their activities throughout their school days and into adulthood. Paula was very proud of raising her son and daughter while being a single mother and treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren. Paula enjoyed crocheting and reading in her spare time as well. Paula is survived by her son, Alan (Ericka) Hansen of Fremont and their children, Kendra, Ethan, Lily, Michaela, and Kenzie; her daughter, Nicole (Scott) Castle of Greenville and their children, Kala, Kyle, Kalynn, Payton and Jenna; her adopted daughter, Meagan (Mark) RittenHouse and their daughter, Lorraine of East Jordan; her mother, Audrey Lyons of Fremont; her sister, Judi (Rich) Boes of Fremont; her nieces, Tracie, Misty, and Wendy and their families. Paula was preceded in death by her father, Don Lyons on October 10, 2005.
